George Mcfarlane has been involved professionally in the music industry for over 20 years as a writer, producer and arranger.
He began his musical career as a self-taught bass player, playing in various bands until he joined a CBS-signed act called Grand Hotel in the late 1970s. He then formed a duo called The Quick, writing and producing several international hits during the 1980s.
The band eventually became Giant Steps, who had had a self-written/produced Top 10 hit in America with a song called Another Lover.
Subsequently, George built his own Groove Therapy Studio, and became more involved in writing, programming, arranging and producing, having success with the following artists (among others): Gabrielle, Kim Wilde, Chaka Khan, Jason Donovan, Lulu and Kylie Minogue. His music has also been featured in the several TV shows, including:
